SALT LAKE CITY — Police arrested a woman who they say was driving drunk when she went the wrong way on the freeway early Sunday, prompting several concerned calls from other drivers.
The woman, who has not been identified, got onto I-215 near 3500 South headed north in the southbound lanes between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. Sunday, continuing up and onto I-15, the Utah Highway Patrol reported.
At times the woman was driving as fast as 80 mph and at other moments her speed dropped near 30 mph, according to UHP.
As police received several calls about the woman, UHP reported a trooper got her attention and got her car stopped near 600 South by lightly bumping into her car.
No additional details about the woman or her arrest were immediately available.
