The 24-year-old nearly doubled his minutes in the 2017-18 season, thanks in large part to superstar Kawhi Leonard playing only nine games. Over 74 games (67 starts), Anderson averaged 7.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.6 steals in 26.7 minutes per game.

While his raw numbers flatter to deceive, Anderson’s real plus-minus (RPM) ranked him sixth in the league among small forwards, up from 14th in the 2016-17 season. He finished second in defensive RPM, behind Robert Covington and ahead of Andre Iguodala.

The Spurs have 48 hours to match the offer for the player they selected 30th overall in 2014.
