Serena Williams will play Angelique Kerber in the women’s singles final on Saturday after beating Julia Gorges in the semi-final today.

The seven-time champion progressed to her tenth Wimbledon final after a 6-2, 6-4 win against Gorges on Centre Court.
Making her comeback after giving birth last year, Williams was seeded 25th for the tournament, but she will be favourite to win her 24th Grand Slam title and equal Margaret Court’s record.
Speaking to the BBC, Williams said: “It’s crazy. I don’t even know how to feel because I literally didn’t think I’d do this well in my fourth tournament back. I don’t have anything to lose and I feel I can play so free. That’s what I’m doing.
