BRENTWOOD — Two men were arrested earlier this week following a second strong-armed robbery in the parking lot of a Bank of America, police said.

The robbery Tuesday was similar to one that happened Sept. 16 at the same location, and Brentwood police spokesman Lt. Walter O’Grodnick said via email the two were suspects in that robbery, too. Both were arrested on suspicion of committing the robberies, he said.

Surveillance video footage linked both to the crimes, police said in a statement.

Both robberies happened outside the bank in the 6200 block of Lone Tree Way. Police said they also found two guns and two vehicles associated with the Tuesday robbery.

Both suspects are Antioch residents, police said. One is 18 years old and the other is 20.

The robbery Tuesday happened about 3:25 p.m. According to police, one of the suspects approached a woman and tried to grab her purse. The two struggled for it, and the suspect eventually pulled it away and ran into a getaway vehicle, police said. The purse contained cash, police said.
