Alabama’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Board on Monday voted unanimously to restrict sales of alcohol in an effort to contain the coronavirus. Alcohol sales cannot be conducted statewide after 11:00 p.m. for on-premise locations such as restaurants, country clubs, and bars. Gunman kills 2 women outside a Family Dollar as dollar stores continue to suffer from a plague of violence

Police are searching for a gunman in connection with the killing of two women in a Family Dollar parking lot. Kayla Kyle and Kimberly Hunt were killed outside the store just before 5 p.m. on Friday in Lumberton, North Carolina. “We are extremely saddened by the incident that occurred on Friday in the parking lot of one of our Lumberton store locations,” a Family Dollar spokesperson told Business Insider. The Family Dollar store where the double homicide took place has been the target of at least two other armed robberies in the past three years.
